Ideal for high traffic interior surfaces such as window frames, doors, door jams and skirting boards. Gloss level 40% - 50%.

Preparation and Directions
Surface must be clean, dry and free from all surface contamination. Treat mould with bleach then rinse with clean water. Fill in surface defects with a suitable filler or sealant and sand smooth.

New Work

Prime with a Taubmans oil based undercoat such as Taubmans Prep Right Oil Based Undercoat.

Allow plaster to age for 8 weeks. Remove dust and prime surface with a Taubmans oil based sealer such as Taubmans Prep Right Plaster Sealer.

Galvanised Iron or Zincalume
Weather for 8 weeks or degrease with a suitable degreaser. Apply a Taubmans water based primer for galvanised iron (e.g. Taubmans Prep Right Gal Iron Primer or Taubmans 3 in 1).

Remove rust by sanding or wire brushing. Remove dust and apply Taubmans oil based metal primer (e.g. Taubmans Prep Right Iron and Steel Primer).

Previously Painted Surfaces
Remove all loose and flaking paint and sand glossy or enamel surfaces thoroughly with 200 grit. Prepare bare areas as for new work. Wash to remove dirt and chalk. Apply one coat of an oil based undercoat (e.g. Taubmans Prep Right Oil Based Undercoat).
Confirm colour before use. Carefully apply two liberal coats of Taubmans Ultra Enamel by brush or roller. A 7mm mohair roller cover or similar will give best results. Excess film thickness will result in runs and slow drying. Avoid painting late in the afternoon as condensation may affect drying and gloss.

  • Stir paint in a circular lifting motion for 5 minutes before use
  • Drying time: 6 hours (touch dry)
  • Recoat: 16 hours at 25°C (in cold, damp, or humid conditions, drying time may be lengthened)
  • Do not paint at temperatures below 10°C

Approximately 16m² per litre depending on the nature of the surface. Coverage on rough and/or porous surfaces will be lower.
