Meet Roy
Roy has been a painter for forty three years, so if there's anyone who knows a thing or two about paint - he's your man. His interest in the trade started at an early age through his uncle, an architect and builder, who alleged 'if you want to make a good living, its heads down and bum up'. Following the offer of an apprenticeship working with a team of builders, painters and plasterers, Roy's uncle soon became his mentor and it wasn't long before he adopted the same work ethic and enthusiasm for painting.

At the age of 21, Roy decided to swap the cold English weather for Australia's sunshine and thirty nine years later, he hasn't looked back. He describes his most memorable job as being the David Jones refurbishment for the new Westfield in Bondi Junction, where he spent 12 months completely re-painting the interior, which included a lot of different effects for the various corporate finishes, such as suede, striped and cross hatched. As well as good time keeping, Roy lists the patience of a saint, a fine sense of humour and a good listener as being the most important attributes of a painter. It goes without saying that Roy's expertise in the painting world is second to none and it's his integrity and reputation that set him apart. With such a diverse range of interests and hobbies, when he isn't making pergolas, dog kennels and fences from wood for friends and family, Roy can be found growing vegetables in his garden, riding his motor bike, skiing or spending time with his wife of 33 years. Roy says that if he could paint anyone's house it would be John Williamson's the 'true blue balladeer' because he'd be entertaining and very down to earth. In the 'Taubman's Endure' TV advertisement, like himself, Roy represents a real life painter. So it comes as no surprise that just like his handy work, he was chosen to represent the Taubmans Endure brand because of his credibility and years of experience.
Meet Nick
Nick's fate as a professional painter began during his school holidays where he laboured for a painter and grew a great fondness for it. Having a father who works in the building industry and a mother who is an art teacher helped with his enthusiasm, as Nick was given an early introduction to paint.

During his first year as an apprentice, Nick was awarded Master Painter of the Year Award suggesting that becoming a professional painter is undeniably written in Nick's blood. Nick boasts that his first job was painting the pergola in a heritage listed mansion in Mosman, NSW and almost five years on, the experienced painter lists a house on the top of Colleroy Plateau, NSW that won house of the year as the job he is most proud of.
As well as his day to day role in improving people's home, when he isn't surfing, Nick spends his spare time creating abstract art paintings. He recently held an exhibition where to his surprise; he sold 70% of his work.
Nick says that if he could paint any ones house it would be Jack Black's because he would get to laugh on the job! He's humble about his new found fame, but couldn't think of a better product to work with than Taubmans Endure.
