How much paint do you need?
Microban® provides antibacterial protection against bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Golden Staph and the growth of mould, mildew and fungus on painted surfaces. It is ideal for walls and ceilings in bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms as well as damp, high humidity areas or wall surfaces.
It provides paintwork with extra protection against messy hands, food borne bacteria, bacterial stains and odours, and mould, mildew and fungus, and helps keep the family home clean and fresh.
When microbes such as bacteria, mould and mildew come in contact with the paint surface, Microban® protection acts to deplete the cells of important metal ions and disrupts their ability to generate energy, which slows their growth and ultimately causes them to die.
Microban® ingredients used in Easycoat are very safe for human contact. The technology uses some of the most widely tested antibacterial and antifungal ingredients in the world, and has been proven effective in 20,000 tests at over 27 independent laboratories around the world. It is currently available in Australia in toothbrushes, food storage containers, knife edges, cutting boards, flooring, countertops and fridge interiors.
The Microban® technology is incorporated into the paint at the manufacturing stage. It does not wash or wear off, lasts the life of the paint and forms a long lasting physical barrier against bacteria.
