New cement render, masonry and concrete surfaces
New cement render, masonry and concrete surfaces should be allowed to cure for 28 days. Off form concrete should be thoroughly cleaned by acid etching, water or sand blasting to ensure all bond breaker oils are removed. All masonry surfaces should be primed with Armawall Primer (thinned 50-100% with water) prior to the application of Armawall Impact. Seal tilt slab concrete and CFC with Armawall Sealer/Bonder thinned 50% with GTA007 to ensure adhesion of topcoats.
Previously painted surfaces – in sound condition
Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be scrubbed down with detergent and fresh water, fresh water washed and allowed to dry.
Previously painted enamel
Previously painted enamel surfaces should be undercoated with Taubmans Tradecoat. Surface irregularities such as blow holes and profile defects may require patching with Armawall Filler or Patch prior to system application.
Armawall Impact can be used in a number of ways 1. Apply 1 coat by roller over other Armawall textures as a decorative topcoat (4 m2/litre). 2. Apply 1 coat with a texture roller and 1 coat with a long nap roller over primed concrete for a low profile finish (2 and 4m2/litre respectively). 3. Apply 2 coats over primed concrete with a long nap roller to achieve a smooth membrane finish (4m2/litre each coat).
Cleanup
Water, away from drains and watercourses.
Stirring
Stir Armawall Impact prior to use.
Temperature
Avoid application when temperature is below 10°C and above 35°C.
