New cement render, masonry and concrete surfaces
New cement render, masonry and concrete surfaces should be allowed to cure for 28 days. Off form concrete should be thoroughly cleaned by acid etching, water or sand blasting to ensure all bond breaker oils are removed. All masonry surfaces should be primed with Armawall Primer (thinned 50-100% with water) prior to the application of Armawall Villa Sands. Seal tilt slab concrete and CFC with Armawall Sealer/Bonder thinned 50% with GTA007 to ensure adhesion of topcoats.
Previously painted surfaces – in sound condition
Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be scrubbed down with detergent and fresh water; fresh water washed and allowed to dry.
Previously painted enamel surfaces
Previously painted enamel surfaces should be undercoated with Taubmans Tradecoat. Surface irregularities such as blow holes and profile defects may require patching with Armawall Filler or Patch prior to system application.
This product is generally applied with a steel trowel and finished off with a plastic float or sponge. Rough or uneven surfaces may require a second trowel application or a topcoat of Armawall Satin. Product can also be sprayed or applied with a roller for different finish effects.
