Ensure surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free of contamination. In hot and windy conditions or when painting very absorbent surfaces, dampen the surface with water before painting.
Timber - Weathered (greyed) timber must be sanded to original timber surface. Tannin rich timbers such as cedar should be primed with Taubmans Prep Right Wood Primer or Taubmans 3 in 1

Cement Render/Concrete - Allow concrete, cement render and mortar to cure for 28 days before painting.
Steel - Remove rust and prime with Taubmans Prep Right Iron and Steel Primer or White Knight Metal Primer.
