Taubmans Helps Paint Better Days For Mission Australia 23 February 2012

Leading paint brand Taubmans has joined forces with Woodside Energy and former Renovators contestant, Christie Blizzard, to help revamp Mission Australia's Drug and Alcohol Youth Service (DAYS) Residential Rehabilitation Service in Carlisle, WA.

Kicking off on February 20, the project will see more than 100 Woodside Energy staff members assist seasoned interior designer Blizzard in the renovation - including re-painting the Centre throughout using the superior range of Taubmans interior and exterior paints.

Marketing Manager for Taubmans, Nadine Miller-Vachon said, "Taubmans is thrilled to have the opportunity to assist Christie, Mission Australia and Woodside Energy with the renovation project. Christie was one of our favourite contestants on The Renovators because of her passion and creative use of paint and colour, so we have no doubt in her ability to successfully undertake a truly magical make-over at DAYS."

Speaking of the project, Blizzard said, "giving back to the community is very important to me, so having the support from Woodside Energy and brands like Taubmans is crucial to ensuring this project is a success. I can't wait to get stuck into the renovation with the volunteers and to create a warm and colourful new space, thanks to Taubmans."

Mission Australia WA State Director Melissa Perry said she is looking forward to joining Christie and volunteers in completing the highly anticipated renovation.

"DAYS Residential Rehabilitation Service provides support to young people who are facing major challenges in their lives.  We are truly thankful to Christie, Woodside Energy and our suppliers such as Taubmans, for offering their products and time to assist with the renovation which will make a huge difference in providing a positive environment assisting young people in need."

The Drug and Alcohol Youth Service (DAYS) Residential Rehabilitation Service in Carlisle provides 24/7 supervised accommodation for young people with substance misuse problems.
