We’ve been making paint since 1899
George Henry Taubman, a Sydney sign writer, established himself as a paint supplier/importer in 1897. He grew dissatisfied with the poor range available and 2 years later he began manufacturing his own paint under the Taubmans brand.
Our Aussie Heritage
Since our inception over a century ago, we’ve been proudly manufacturing paint on our Aussie shores. We’re proud to be an Australian manufacturing success, with plants in Villawood NSW, and Clayton VIC.
