Many Taubmans interior and exterior products feature low VOC levels to help reduce indoor air pollutants and create healthier spaces while painting. Ranges including Pure Performance, Endure, Water Based Enamel and Easycoat proudly display the Low VOC icon as part of our commitment to improved indoor air quality.

Select products are formulated with antimicrobial properties to inhibit mould and mildew growth. This technology supports improved surface hygiene and helps painted surfaces stay cleaner for longer. Reducing the risk of mould and mildew growth also contributes to healthier indoor air quality over a longer period and after exposure to various conditions like moisture and wear and tear.

Taubmans uses innovations such as Nanoguard Advanced Technology and superior dirt shedding formulas to create durable coatings that resist staining, mould and dirt buildup, contributing to longer lasting finishes which require less cleaning. A particular benefit for high traffic, or high-rise commercial buildings to reduce the environmental impact or structural quality.

The Green Building Council Australia (GBCA) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to developing a sustainable property industry for Australia and encourages the adoption of green building practices with their Green Star accreditation model. Taubmans’ membership with GBCA represents our commitment to sustainability in the built environment and beyond.
Taubmans Pure Performance Interior Walls helps projects achieve Green Star certification by meeting the strict under 5 g/L VOC limit for interior wall coatings. This is well below the thresholds set by the Green Building Council of Australia for wall paints, which supports improved indoor air quality and contributes to healthier spaces.
Pure Performance is eligible for Indoor Environment Quality credits across key Green Star rating tools, including Office Interiors, Retail and Education.
Other Taubmans product types, such as water-based enamels and prep coatings, have different allowable VOC limits set by the GBCA and there are lower VOC options across these categories that can still help projects meet relevant product requirements.
Choosing Pure Performance and low VOC Taubmans products supports sustainability objectives without compromising on colour, coverage or durability.

Several Taubmans ranges are approved by Sensitive Choice, an initiative of the National Asthma Council Australia.
These products support better indoor air quality through low VOC formulations and antimicrobial properties that help reduce common asthma and allergy triggers such as mould and bacteria.
Approved ranges include Pure Performance, Water Based Enamel, Endure and Easycoat.
